TOKYO, March 4 /PRNewswire/ -- ALOKA announced today the "Advanced Performance 09 Upgrade" for the high-end ProSound Alpha 7 system. The upgrade will be exhibited at ECR 2009 from 6th to 10th of March in Vienna, Austria.
New Specialty Transducers:

The ProSound Alpha 7 Advanced Performance 09 upgrade introduces a total of 11 additional transducers, including 7 interventional radiology & surgical transducers. Specially designed transducers include trans-sphenoidal imaging, spine surgery, laparoscopic surgery and 2 new broadband transducers which can be also used with contrast enhanced ultrasound media during the liver surgical procedures. Several transducers also support Directional eFLOW, high-resolution blood flow imaging feature which is unique to ALOKA. Directional eFLOW allows users to visualize high-resolution blood flow with directional information. Compared to conventional blood flow display methods, D-eFLOW features enhanced spatial resolution for greater detail.
New 3rd Generation LCD panel display
A new 3rd generation, contrast resolution enhanced 17-inch LCD flat panel display is also available in the Advanced Performance 09 Upgrade. The new generation display panel significantly improves the image quality of the displayed ultrasound images.
The system also complies with Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise-Europe (IHE-E) for network communication which is an indispensable feature for medical data communication with servers.
