A number of Irish investors are set for a windfall after US medical devices giant Medtronic acquired Galway company Crospon in a deal that could be worth €38m.
Medtronic confirmed that it bought Crospon but declined to disclose the value of the deal. It is understood that, subject to meeting a number of milestones, the total value could be as much as $45m (€38m).
Established in 2006 by chairman and chief executive John O’Dea, Crospon develops tools to more effectively diagnose, measure and in some cases treat gastrointestinal disorders.
