Drug Watch -- According to data from the National Joint Registry of England and Wales, women are more likely than men to need a second hip replacement surgery after receiving a DePuy hip device. In August 2010, DePuy recalled its ASR Hip Resurfacing System and ASR XL Acetabular System total hip replacement after the devices were linked to a higher-than-normal failure rate.
