DERMALOG’s latest biometric innovation is well at the forefront: the company’s all new BiometricGate - the next generation e-gate made in Germany. BiometricGate is the first fully automated electronic gate utilizing premium 3D sensor high-resolution camera technology combined with a precisely defined field of view - presented to the world at CeBIT for the first time.

Providing highly secure facial recognition, the cutting-edge camera guarantees that only one person pass the BiometricGate at a time. Its technology recognizes biometric face data, minimizing non-detection of deception and fraud.

The world’s smallest optical fingerprint scanner

As this year’s exhibition is also about mobile devices, DERMALOG offers biometric solutions for our increasingly mobile world. It is the world’s smallest optical fingerprint scanner with small dimensions of 29.4 mm x 43.4 mm x 14 mm and a light weight of only 19 g.

The LF1 offers secure biometric identification in numerous stationary and mobile applications with physical and logical access, point-of-sale terminals or vending machines as well as printers, mobile devices, safes or even door locks: the cost-effective fingerprint scanner of choice - fast, accurate and reliable. With this device the benefits of fingerprint identification can be added to a wide range of applications.

Secure and reliable fingerbanking solutions - by DERMALOG

At CeBit, DERMALOG will also present FingerBanking, which is a newly developed technology supporting banks that demand secure payment transactions. The implemented biometric identification systems are convincingly cost-effective and impress with their outstanding high-speed performance. A unique fingerprint combined with systems of facial recognition guarantees particularly high security levels while simultaneously offering improved comfort. Significant advantages are:

Easy cash-withdrawal transactions carried out by fingerprint at automated teller machines and counters
Secure transactions without complicated and cumbersome passwords, PINs and TANs
Maximum protection from false identities and undesirable/blacklisted customers
Fast and safe login for bank employees to their computers without any need of passwords
Time-consuming and inefficient login/password management in the banking business is no longer needed
Encyclopedia of German World Market Leaders

DERMALOG has been included in the newly published “Lexikon der deutschen Weltmarktfu¨hrer” (Encyclopedia of German World Market Leaders) in its latest 2015 edition. The encyclopedia offers a lively survey of companies commanding an outstanding market position in world markets across different sectors. The encyclopaedia entry documents DERMALOG’s outstanding performance as a biometric innovation leader.

The encyclopaedia’s publisher Dr Florian Langenscheidt explains: “German world market leaders stand for leadership in terms of quality and technology. This strength and proven efficiency are often unknown to a general public. Advisory boards with representatives from industrial associations guarantee high quality standards.

A team of scientists and computer scientists are constantly working on innovative new products. The product range extends from biometric border controls by biometric ID cards to new “FingerLogin” and “FingerPayment” solutions.

Apart from Germany and Europe, DERMALOG’s main markets are Asia, Latin America and the Middle East. In Germany, DERMALOG has delivered over 20,000 fingerprint scanners to residency registration offices and foreigners’ authorities. These allow fingerprints to be saved in new passports, ID cards and in residence permits.

The company has now delivered another 80,000 fingerprint scanners to more than 60 countries. Large-scale AFIS installations (AFIS = Automatic Fingerprint Identification System) from DERMALOG are now in use at more than 130 government customers around the world.

DERMALOG also provides biometric solutions for banks and ATM manufacturers. Numerous cash machines worldwide have been equipped with fingerprint technology from DERMALOG to replace insecure PIN numbers with fingerprints.
