200 International Scientific Delegates Expected at the Joint 27th HUGO-IABCR Congress: Genomics, Biology and Breast Cancer Treatment from 5th to 7st Oct, at Biopolis, Singapore

September 1, 2010 -- About 200 scientists and medical practitioners from around the world will converge on Biopolis, Singapore for the Joint 27th HUGO -IABCR Congress: Genomics, Biology and Breast Cancer Treatment, hosted by the Genome Institute of Singapore (GIS). The congress will take place from 5th – 7th October 2010 at the Biopolis.

The congress will bring together 200 senior and junior scientists from around the world to interact with the most well-known world experts in breast cancer research. Both international and local speakers will cover topics related to Clinical Investigations/Clinical Trials, Stem Cells in Breast Cancer Development and Malignancy, Cancer Therapeutics, Quantitative Medicine and Breast Cancer Genomics and Mouse Models of Cancer and Pathology.

HUGO’s current president, Prof Edison Liu, Executive Director of the Genome Institute of Singapore (GIS), a biomedical research institute of the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), said, “This congress, jointly organised by the Human Genome Organisation and the International Association of Breast Cancer Research, focuses on the intersection of Genomics , Biology, and Breast Cancer Treatment.
