Statement From Adventist Health System Midwest Region Regarding The Appointment Of The New Members Of The Health Facilities Planning Board

HINSDALE, Ill., Sept. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Adventist Health System Midwest Region issued the following statement today in response to the Governor's appointment of the new members of the Health Facilities Planning Board.

"We are pleased at the news today of Governor Blagojevich's appointment of Glenn Poshard, Pamela Woodward and Susan Lopatka made public today in the news media," said Ernie Sadau, president and CEO of Adventist Health System Midwest Region. "The Governor's action in appointing three new Board members allows the Board to resume deliberations on many important healthcare projects. We sincerely hope that our application to build a hospital in Bolingbrook will not be unjustly affected by actions of the previous Board and will be considered on its own merits."

Sadau added, "Bolingbrook is the only place that a new hospital has been approved by the courts to be built. There has been no opposition from any other hospital or health system to our project. It is located in the epicenter of growth for the region and addresses the maldistribution of hospital beds in Will County. Bolingbrook is the right place and now is the right time to build the hospital and bring needed quality healthcare and emergency care closer to home in Bolingbrook, Romeoville, Woodridge and surrounding communities."
