Pharmaceuticals firm Redx Pharma has revealed plans to create 119 jobs in Liverpool at a £10.8m centre finding treatments for superbugs such as MRSA. Redx this year launched a division specialising in cancer treatments after securing funding from the Government’s Regional Growth Fund (RGF). Redx Oncology already employs 30 people. Now the ambitious company has submitted another bid to the RGF to fund the creation of Redx Anti-Infectives. Redx’s latest bid for £4.7m in funding is being backed by Mayor Joe Anderson and bodies including Liverpool Local Enterprise Partnership and local hospitals.
