CRANBURY, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- The National Association of Specialty Pharmacy (NASP), a nonprofit organization representing all stakeholders in the specialty pharmacy industry — including the nation’s leading specialty pharmacies, pharmaceutical and biotechnology manufacturers, health plan providers and integrated delivery systems — today announced that it will host a “Fight for Access” fundraiser with MMA legend Randy Couture to benefit patient access programs. The fundraiser will take place on Tuesday, Sept. 25, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Marriott Wardman Park in Washington, D.C., during the NASP Sixth Annual Meeting and Educational Conference.
“NASP is excited to welcome Randy Couture as we promote specialty medication affordability and support patients battling the financial toxicity that may serve as a barrier to specialty drug access,” said Mike Agostino, president of NASP.
Six-time world champion and Hall of Famer Randy Couture will be making a guest appearance at the ParcelShield photo booth for a meet-and-greet with fans. Couture will greet attendees, sign autographs and pose for photos with fans. Proceeds from the “Fight for Access” fundraiser will support patient access programs.
Those interested in raising money for patient access programs can donate at the ParcelShield photo booth. Venmo, credit/debit cards, cash and checks will be accepted.
The NASP Sixth Annual Meeting and Educational Conference is designed to educate the specialty pharmacy industry about the emerging scientific and therapeutic advances and rapidly changing regulatory and legislative environment, focusing on clinical outcomes with an impact on the patient at the center. The event is geared toward pharmacy directors, senior executives, consultants and managed care organizations.
