ROCKVILLE, Md.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Emergent BioSolutions Inc. (NYSE:EBS) is pleased to announce the appointment of Steven Chatfield, Ph.D. as Senior Vice President, Biodefense effective immediately. Dr. Chatfield rejoins the Company after recently serving as Executive Director of the U.K. Health Protection Agency (HPA) and leading the Agency’s Centre for Emergency Preparedness and Response. In his new position, Dr. Chatfield will play a key role in the growth and development of Emergent’s biodefense business, reporting directly to Daniel J. Abdun-Nabi, President and Chief Operating Officer.
