About Cynvec LLC
Cynvec, a privately held biotechnology company, is developing proprietary cancer therapies based on the apoptotic sindbis oncolytic viral vector, a novel technology that targets the over expressed laminin receptor on the surface of many solid tumors without affecting normal cells. Under an exclusive worldwide license from the NYU School of Medicine, Cynvec is developing its lead product, CYN 101, to be used as a single agent or in combination with cytotoxics, monoclonal antibodies, chemotherapeutic agents and radiation. CYN 101 is a replication defective, apoptotic RNA vector that has shown tumor eradication and highly significant survival rates in pre-clinical models of ovarian and pancreatic cancer as both a single agent and in combination with licensed chemotherapies. Cynvec is also developing a companion vector that will provide an in vivo, quantitative, real time cancer diagnostic.
