MedClean Technologies Signs a Multi-year Contract With Barnett Medical Services for MedClean 4400 Container/Mobile Technology, Services, and Consumables Valued at More Than $1 Million

BETHEL, Conn., June 8 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- MedClean Technologies (OTC Bulletin Board: MCLN), the leading provider of onsite technology for the treatment and disposal of medical waste and the destruction of confidential documents and related media, today announced it has signed an agreement with Barnett Medical Services for MedClean 4400 Container/Mobile technology and services.

The agreement includes the purchase of equipment valued at $789,000 plus additional recurring consumable orders estimated at approximately $214,800 over the life of the contract bringing the total value of the transaction to more than $1 million. Barnett Medical Services, a premier provider of Medical Supplies and Medical Waste Transportation services for more than 50 years, will utilize the MedClean 4400 System to accelerate the growth of its Regulated Medical Waste Treatment business. This agreement enables Barnett Medical Services to establish a central processing facility in the Northern California region to treat and dispose regulated medical waste and shred confidential documents. The agreement also provides the basis for both companies to collaborate and target their integrated technology and services to the more than 230 large quantity medical waste generators and the nearly 1,500 medium quantity medical waste generators in Barnett’s four-state Western region.

“The collaboration with Barnett Medical Services to establish a centralized processing center leverages our expertise to process medical waste and destroy confidential documents with Barnett’s superior customer service capabilities and their already robust Medical Supplies and Medical Waste Transportation business,” commented Dave Laky, President and CEO of MedClean Technologies, Inc. “We believe that our relationship with Barnett Medical Services provides them with the opportunity to expand their service offerings and grow their business within their regional network. In addition, this agreement further validates that MedClean’s Distributor Network program reduces the sales cycle from months to weeks and that our strategy and market approach is working as anticipated. We were fortunate to partner with Barnett via our Distributor agreement just last month, and that relationship has already resulted in the purchase of Barnett’s first system. This positive milestone demonstrates that we are executing our business plan and we are on pace to achieve our previously stated growth objectives.”

Mr. Laky continued, “We have worked very hard identifying strategic partners, such as Barnett, that share our vision and values while striving to achieve growth and success in the marketplace. Our technology continues to offer superior cost savings, risk mitigation and quality to the health care community and this resonated with Barnett.”

“We look forward to establishing our own onsite processing facility with MedClean’s technology in the Northern California region, and working with MedClean’s service team to establish our centralized processing center,” added Brett Espicha, President and CEO of Barnett Medical Services. “Because of the capabilities of the Container/Mobile technology, it also provides us the flexibility to provide processing capabilities and services at point of generation locations in the future. The adaptability of this technology ensures that we are positioned properly to address our current and future needs. MedClean’s technology is a natural fit to our environmentally sensitive mission statement and will allow us to expand rapidly throughout the four state western territory. We can now deliver comprehensive, one-stop sterilization and confidential document destruction services to our customers no matter how small or large their demands.”
