Kyoto University Technology Showcase, New York 2009 - Novel Biomedical Technologies from Kyoto

JETRO Event -- The pioneering work by Professor Shinya Yamanaka of Kyoto University on induced pluripotent stem (iPS) cells has placed Kyoto University at the forefront of stem cell research. But Kyoto University has much more to offer than iPS cell research.

As one of the leading research institutions in Japan, it possesses an extensive proprietary technology portfolio in chemistry, clean technology, IT and especially in biomedicine. Kyoto University has been actively pursuing technology transfer with companies in Japan, resulting in a number of successful academia-industry collaborations. Kyoto University is now seeking to achieve the same level of success with US partners.

JETRO New York, on behalf of Kyoto University, is pleased to invite you to a free, half-day luncheon event featuring a selection of business-oriented biomedical technologies from Kyoto University.

This will be the first time Kyoto University presents these innovative technologies in the US, and they will be explained through insightful presentations and poster sessions. Following the event, there will also be an opportunity to network with Kyoto University representatives over coffee.
