MedPage Today -- BARCELONA -- Patients who have a proton pump inhibitor and a thienopyridine on board when they undergo stenting will not receive the full-antiplatelet punch of drugs like clopidogrel (Plavix) or prasugrel (Effient), but that does not appear to increase their risk of myocardial infarction, stroke, or death.
