Business First of Columbus -- Ray Schmidt didn’t know it eight years ago, but while trying to make it easier for his autistic son, Jon, to feel more comfortable in restaurants and other public places, he unwittingly created a communication device for people with disabilities. That effort has mushroomed into a burgeoning micro-business in Lancaster.
