Toronto, Canada - March 7, 2005 - Researchers at The Blueprint Initiative, a research program in the Samuel Lunenfeld Research Institute of Toronto and Mount Sinai Hospital, and the University of Toronto's Edward S. Rogers Sr. Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering announced today that they have developed a hardware-based method for accelerating data analysis that comes with a dramatically lower price tag than conventional cluster-based approaches. The innovation is described in a paper published in the March 30, 2005 issue of Rapid Communications in Mass Spectrometry.
