FRANKLIN, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--BioMimetic Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ: BMTI) today reported its financial results for the three and nine months ended September 30, 2007. For the three months ended September 30, 2007, the Company reported a net loss of $5.6 million or $(0.31) per share, compared to a net loss of $4.2 million, or $(0.27) per share, for the same period in 2006. For the nine months ended September 30, 2007, the Company reported a net loss of $17.7 million or $(0.99) per share, compared to a net loss of $11.9 million, or $(1.34) per share, for the same period in 2006. The Company ended the third quarter in a strong financial position with $68.3 million of cash, cash equivalents, certificates of deposit and investments in marketable securities.
