BOSTON, June 11 /PRNewswire/ -- MCMC LLC (MCMC) announced today that its Peer Review Analysis(R) (PRA(R)) and Medical Care Ombudsman (MCOP) programs have been awarded Independent Review Organization (IRO) accreditation by URAC (also known as American Accreditation HealthCare Commission).
MCMC's PRA program was a pioneer in the service of independent review and as a result was one of the first independent review organizations accredited by URAC in 2000. MCMC's most recent achievement is the MCOP program's inaugural accreditation to compliment PRA's continual accreditation status.

URAC is non-profit organization that has issued over 2,000 accreditation certificates to over 500 managed care organizations doing business in all 50 states including Puerto Rico. URAC accreditation standards are recognized nationally as providing the benchmarks for quality in managed care organizations.
