Sangamo BioSciences, Inc. Announces Closing of Common Stock Offering

RICHMOND, Calif., Oct. 13 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Sangamo BioSciences, Inc. today announced the closing of its previously announced public offering of 3,000,000 shares of its common stock at a price of $7.20 per share. The net proceeds to Sangamo from the sale of shares in this offering, after deducting underwriting discounts and commissions and other estimated offering expenses, were approximately $20.9 million. Sangamo intends to use the net proceeds from the offering for working capital and other general corporate purposes, including support for the Company’s continuing research and development of its ZFP Therapeutic((TM)) product candidates.

Jefferies & Company, Inc. acted as sole book-running manager in this offering.
