PPD’s Clinical Research Excellence Celebrated by PharmaTimes

Pharmaceutical Product Development, LLC (PPD) announced that its clinical research expertise was recognized for excellence at the PharmaTimes International Clinical Researcher of the Year competition.

WILMINGTON, N.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Pharmaceutical Product Development, LLC (PPD) announced that its clinical research expertise was recognized for excellence at the PharmaTimes International Clinical Researcher of the Year competition.

At the London finale, a PPD clinical research associate (CRA) earned gold in the “Aspiring Clinical Research Associate” category. That award was in addition to last month’s Americas-based competition, in which two PPD CRAs won gold in the “Experienced Clinical Research Associate” and “New Clinical Research Associate” categories. PPD’s Lauren Cassidy earned gold at the London event on 17 May.

Both competitions featured a demanding, yearlong, three-part series of tests, including real-life challenges judged by industry leaders.

“PPD’s clinical researchers exemplify the highest levels of professionalism and competence, which have led to these notable industry recognitions,” said Roger Newbery, senior vice president of investigator services for PPD. “We congratulate them on their achievements and recognize the talent, success and dedication they bring to all of our clients in their efforts to develop life-changing medicines.”

The PharmaTimes competition provides a unique opportunity for clinical research professionals to compare their skills with those of their peers in a learning environment, and have their work judged by an independent panel of high-level industry leaders. The only competition of its kind for clinical researchers, it has offered the opportunity to recognize clinical excellence since 1999.
