I-many, Inc., the leading provider of Contract Lifecycle Management and Revenue Optimization software and solutions, announced today its appointment of Gaurav Verma as Vice President of Solutions Marketing. Verma will assume responsibility for global marketing strategy and positioning that drives I-many’s continued market leadership in Life Sciences and expansion into other markets. Verma will focus on persona-based marketing, awareness, messaging, and consultative selling. He will help I-many customers drive transformative and agile business strategies through the innovative use of information, cost take out and efficiency, and proactive risk and compliance management.

Verma brings with him a wealth of knowledge from the enterprise software industry. Prior to joining I-many, Gaurav lead Global Technology Product Marketing for SAS, the leader in business analytics software and services, and the largest independent vendor in the business intelligence (BI) market, where he instituted global market leadership for SAS’ Business Analytics Framework, Business Intelligence and Text Analytics products and solutions by driving global marketing strategy and positioning. Gaurav successfully developed and lead global marketing programs for SAS’ Information Management agenda.

Prior to SAS, Gaurav was the Financial Services Industry Marketing Director for Cognos (now IBM Cognos), another leading BI and Performance Management company. There, Gaurav helped established market leadership by developing go-to-market strategies and proven solutions in key sectors of the financial services industry.

Prior to that, Gaurav was the Director of Corporate Marketing for Information Builders, a leading independent BI and Integration software company, implementing global marketing, communications and solution strategies. And prior to that, Gaurav served as a principal analyst and program manager at Doculabs, a technology analyst and consulting firm that specializes in lowering the business risk of technology decisions through client specific recommendations, objective analysis, and in-depth research.

Verma regularly serves as a spokesperson to the press, analyst communities and at industry events. He has authored several articles and is quoted in leading industry publications.
