Career Guru Parachutes into Retirement Arena

By Ron Schoolmeester -- Who knew retirement would be so much work? In the good ol' days — say, 20 years or so ago — there was only the worry about having enough money to last as long as you do and getting a decent tee time. Having enough money has, if anything, become even more of a worry, no thanks to the continuing demise of traditional pensions. Nowadays, it's also about getting in touch with your inner self, finding fulfillment in ways beyond shooting under 45 on the front nine and, oh yes, staying healthy because you're apt to be around a lot longer than Grandpa and Grandma. Whew! Enough there to write a book about. And that's exactly what's been happening. Perhaps most surprising is how long it took Richard Nelson Bolles to jump in. Bolles, author of "What Color is Your Parachute?" a best-selling bible for job-hunters ever since its first commercial publication in 1972, teams with retirement expert John E. Nelson in trying to help many of those former job-hunters figure out how to find happiness once their jobs end.
