Private Healthcare Systems To Accept VoiCert Calls

WALTHAM, Mass. and KNOXVILLE, Tenn., July 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Private Healthcare Systems (PHCS), the nation’s leading health care cost management company, today announced that it will begin accepting VoiCert(TM) system calls in its Care Management call centers.

Developed by The White Stone Group, Inc., VoiCert is a voice-based computer telephony system that automates the precertification process for medical procedures. The patented VoiCert precert process brings efficiency to the communication between hospitals, physician offices, and ambulatory care facilities and health care companies such as PHCS.

Health care providers can begin the precertification process 24 hours a day by telephoning the patient information into the hospital’s VoiCert server. Once the voice input is complete, the server contacts the health care company’s call center and obtains the needed transaction information. VoiCert then notifies the proper nurse or admission staffer of authorization. Using VoiCert Tracker software, health care staff can search and retrieve records for use in both care management and revenue collection.

The PHCS Care Management Call Center will begin accepting VoiCert calls this summer.

“A review of existing VoiCert users showed that many were participating in the PHCS Network,” said Jeff Jones, Vice President, Managed Care Development at The White Stone Group, Inc. “As a result, many of the providers who use the VoiCert system will benefit from increased efficiency and accuracy when working with the PHCS Care Management Call Center.”
