MERCER ISLAND, Wash., July 15 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- PacifiCare Health Systems Inc. has been named the title sponsor of the Torchlight Run at SEAFAIR, an 8K run and 5K walk that is part of Seattle’s month-long SEAFAIR summer celebrations.
On Saturday, July 31, an estimated 2,500 participants will run and walk the course through downtown Seattle, beginning and ending at Qwest Field. The event will be viewed by some 300,000 people lining the route and will be followed by the city’s famous Southwest Airlines Torchlight Parade.

For 54 years, SEAFAIR has been Seattle’s traditional summer festival, comprising 40 separate events, including a hydroplane race and a triathlon as well as barbecues, parades and an air show. With 5,000 volunteers, the SEAFAIR events are seen by more than 2 million people annually.
