Netsmart Technologies Signs Two New Multiyear Contracts With Michigan Providers With Combined Value Of $1.145 Million

GREAT RIVER, N.Y., May 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Netsmart Technologies, Inc. , a leading supplier of enterprise-wide software for health and human services providers through its wholly owned subsidiary, Creative Socio-Medics Corp. (Creative), announced today that Creative has been awarded a 5-year contract with value of $620,000 for the Community Mental Health of Ottawa County and a 5-year contract with the value of $525,000 for the City of Detroit Health Department. These contracts cover licensing, services and maintenance of Creative’s Avatar and value-add web-based ASP products in a multi-tiered delivery environment.

Creative’s CEO, Jerry Koop, said in a statement: “The Ottawa contract is the first roll-out of an enterprise system which covers practice management, clinical records, web-based care management and electronic prescriptions designed specifically with Michigan in mind.” He went on to say, “The City of Detroit coordinating agencies manages the authorization of services for all substance abuse providers in the Detroit area. Creative now has all 13 statewide coordinating agencies using our CareNet product, totaling over 550 providers.”

The unique features of the software solution that are being provided to Michigan payers and providers are:

 * Seamless integration of practice management, clinical records, care management, and medication management functionality in a single-entry, easy to use ASP model. * Design specific to Michigan reporting and billing requirements. * Software services currently installed in 18 Michigan locations. * Michigan-based software support team. 

Community Mental Health (CMH) of Ottawa County offers comprehensive mental health services to residents of Ottawa County with mental illness, other psychiatric and emotional disorders, or developmental disabilities. The county provides service under a Managed Care contract with the State of Michigan, Department of Community Health, and a Board of Directors governs the programs and activities.

The City of Detroit Health Department operates a large public substance abuse coordinating agency in the State of Michigan. The coordinating agency provides referrals, authorizations, claims adjudications, and managerial reporting for the provide agencies within Detroit.
