SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Fluidigm has announced that the TOPAZ® system has been used to determine the structure of the IL-15-IL-15R{alpha} complex, proteins that belong to a family of cytokines whose main function is to control T cell survival and proliferation. The structure provides insight into the functional interactions that differentiate between IL-15 and IL-2 recognition by their respective receptors. The findings could help researchers develop more effective cancer immunotherapies and vaccines.
