AmerisourceBergen Corporation Reports Record $0.52 in Diluted EPS, a 44 Percent Increase, and Record Revenue of $19.3 Billion for the December Quarter

VALLEY FORGE, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--AmerisourceBergen Corporation (NYSE:ABC) today reported that in its fiscal year 2010 first quarter, ended December 31, 2009, diluted earnings per share were $0.52, a 44 percent increase. Revenue in the quarter was a record $19.3 billion, up 11.5 percent. The Company also increased its fiscal year 2010 diluted earnings per share guidance to a range of $1.89 to $1.98, which represents a 12 percent to 17 percent increase over the $1.69 diluted earnings per share from continuing operations last fiscal year. All the results are presented in accordance with U.S. generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), and earnings per share and other share-related data reflect the Company’s June 2009 two-for-one stock split.
