Sanofi-Aventis (France) Begins Construction of $60 Million Pharma Research Center in Arizona

SUGAR LAND, TX--(MARKET WIRE)--Nov 28, 2007 -- Reported by Annette Kreuger, Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas) -- Determined to remain one of the world’s largest pharmaceutical companies, France’s sanofi-aventis (NYSE:SNY - News) has begun construction on a $60 million research center in Oro Valley, Arizona. As reported in June 2006 by Industrial Info’s Pharmaceutical Project Tracker, the company purchased an 11-acre site in Innovation Park to construct the 110,000-square-foot facility, which will be built to Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) standards to help ensure a constant supply to the company’s drug pipeline.
