Women with a history of preeclampsia may have a higher risk of developing cancer, especially cancers of the stomach, breast, ovary, lung and larynx, a new study says.The findings, while preliminary, suggest there might be some common environmental or genetic factor undergirding both preeclampsia and cancer. The authors of the study, which appears in the March 6 edition of the British Medical Journal, stress, however, that there’s no reason for women to panic.
