AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--CPRIT received 881 grant proposals in response to their initial research funding opportunities. The Cancer Prevention and Research Institute of Texas (CPRIT) announced today that 881 applications were received in response to CPRIT’s first two requests for applications (RFAs) for cancer research funding awards, the Individual Investigator Research Award and the High Impact/High Risk Research Award. The requests for funding total approximately $1.25 billion, about six times more money than will be available in the first year of funding.
