HealthRamp CarePoint Selected By Osler Medical As Its Electronic Prescribing Solution

NEW YORK, April 20 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Ramp Corporation today announced that its HealthRamp subsidiary and Osler Medical (“Osler”) have signed an agreement to provide more than 60 of Osler’s physicians, at 10 locations, with the CarePoint suite of technologies. Prior to the implementation of CarePoint, Osler and HealthRamp will integrate Osler’s proprietary electronic medical record software with CarePoint’s point-of-care technologies. HealthRamp develops and markets the CarePoint suite of technologies, which enables electronic prescribing, lab orders and results, Internet-based communication, data integration and transaction processing over a handheld device or browser, at the point-of-care.

“Our partnership with Osler is exciting, as it is the first electronic medical record with which we are integrating our CarePoint technologies. Even at this early stage in its deployment, demand for CarePoint is very diverse, resulting in our pursuing a wide array of customers and partners. Real-time patient medication history, drug utilization reviews, prescription drug benefit information and the ability to securely transmit a prescription to a patient’s pharmacy of choice, all accomplished at the point-of-care, are valuable additions to an EMR such as Osler’s proprietary EMR. We look forward to meeting and exceeding the expectations of Osler’s tech-savvy physicians and employees,” stated Darryl Cohen, Ramp Chairman & CEO.

“CarePoint is the key piece that will help leverage the significant investment we have made in our practice management and electronic medical record technologies. Our EMR technology, developed by Osler’s own Dr. Michael Lesser and his team of clinical computing specialists, is the culmination of over 20 years of experience in medical informatics. Integrating CarePoint with our EMR will ensure that our physicians have the most recent patient information available where it is needed most -- at the point-of-care,” said Andrew Atkinson, M.D., Osler Medical’s Chairman.
