(Nasdaq:TRMS) (“Trimeris”) today announced worldwide net sales of FUZEON for the fourth quarter of 2009 were $25.5 million, down 37 percent from $40.5 million in the fourth quarter of 2008, and down 14 percent from $29.8 million in the third quarter of 2009. Net sales of FUZEON in the U.S. and Canada for the fourth quarter of 2009 were $9.0 million, down 44 percent from $16.1 million in the fourth quarter of 2008, and down 13 percent from $10.4 million in the third quarter of 2009. Net sales of FUZEON outside the U.S. and Canada for the fourth quarter of 2009 were $16.5 million, down 32 percent from $24.4 million in the fourth quarter of 2008, and down 15 percent from $19.4 million in the third quarter of 2009.
