LAKE FOREST, Ill.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Stericycle, Inc. (NASDAQ:SRCL), today reported financial results for the fourth quarter of 2008. Revenues for the quarter ended December 31, 2008 were $274.0 million, up 8.9% from $251.6 million in the same quarter last year. Acquisitions less than 12 months old contributed approximately $14.2 million to the growth in revenues for the quarter. Gross profit was $125.3 million, up 11.5% from $112.4 million in the same quarter last year. Gross profit as a percent of revenue was 45.7% versus 44.7% in the fourth quarter of 2007.
