Up to 245 construction and manufacturing jobs are set to be announced for East Cork later today as part of a nationwide employment drive by IDA Ireland. Minister of State for Research and Innovation Seán Sherlock, has confirmed the major jobs boost for Carrig- twohill will be revealed alongside separate plans for the rest of the country at a mid-year briefing this morning. Speaking last night, the Labour TD said international pharmaceutical firm Sangart has agreed to base its new European headquarters in the East Cork town, with Government support provided through IDA Ireland.
