Nextrials, Inc. to Discuss Utilizing EHRs for Clinical Trial Data Collection at the 2012 Bio-IT World Expo

SAN RAMON, CA--(Marketwire - April 23, 2012) - James Rogers, co-founder and CEO of Nextrials, Inc. (www.nextrials.com), will co-lead a workshop discussing how the integration of electronic data capture (EDC) and electronic health record (EHR) platforms enables the use of EHRs for clinical research at this week’s Bio-IT World Conference & Expo at Boston’s World Trade Center. In a pre-conference event being held Tuesday, April 24 at 8:00 a.m., Rogers will outline the regulatory considerations and specific projects where EHR data was used to support clinical trials, specifically site identification, patient recruitment and data collection.

Industry leaders joining him for the panel presentation include Michael Celeste, associate director at Pfizer, Jason Colquitt, executive director of research services at Greenway Medical Technologies (a Nextrials partner), Aaron Kamauu, MD, president of Anolinx LLC and Gary Lubin, CEO of Centerphase Solutions, Inc.

Nextrial’s clinical trial management platform, Prism®, includes the industry’s first early phase integration tools to be offered in conjunction with an EDC system. It integrates sophisticated clinical trial management functionality with EHR collection in a single package, enabling sponsors and sites to fully utilize disparate information and data sources, such as a hospital’s patient records, to better recruit and care for patients enrolled in clinical trials.

The Bio-IT World Conference & Expo 2012 runs through April 26. For more information, please follow the conversation on Twitter using hashtag #BioIT12 or visit the website at www.bio-itworldexpo.com.
