SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--La Jolla Pharmaceutical Company (Nasdaq: LJPC) reported a net loss for the three months ended March 31, 2008 of $13.6 million, or $0.34 per share (on 39.6 million weighted-average shares), compared to a net loss of $11.9 million, or $0.36 per share (on 32.7 million weighted-average shares), for the same period in 2007.
