INTEGROMICS Announces the Release of SeqSolve 2.1

Granada and Madrid, Spain and Philadelphia, PA, U.S., January 9, 2012 – Integromics(R), a market leader in IT solutions provision for life sciences in the field of genomics and proteomics, today announces the release of SeqSolve 2.1(TM), its analytical software package which makes the analysis of Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) data simpler.

SeqSolve 2.1 provides scientists with a scalable server mode, which allows for the remote processing of multiple analyses by several users. Integromics has developed this latest version to meet the demands of pharmas, agris and core facilities.

The software combines NGS methods, such as an upgraded Cufflinks RNA-seq algorithm, dynamic charts and interactive graphics from TIBCO(R) Spotfire(R) and user-friendly Click and Go(R) automatic workflows. All of these features are found on a flexible server architecture, which scales up the analyses.

“SeqSolve 2.1 allows users to set up an NGS analysis remotely where it will be processed on a flexible computational infrastructure, including a number of Linux or Window servers,” said José Maria Carazo, president, Integromics. “The benefit to the user is that they are free to use their desktop while the analysis is processed, they will receive an email to notify them when it’s finished and, if they are using the Spotfire Web Player, they can even browse the results on an iPad.”

Scientists can use the server infrastructure to set up multiple analyses, try different settings and perform several comparisons. The SeqSolve 2.1 platform can also be shared by colleagues wishing to run an analysis at the same time. For example, an RNA-seq analysis can be started even if a ChIP-seq workflow is already running, it will just be queued and processed as soon as the previous analysis has completed.

SeqSolve 2.1 is now being used for ongoing scientific collaborations with existing partners, most notably on the Amazon cloud computing architecture.

Integromics will be attending the Plant and Animal Genome (PAG XX), the largest Ag-Genomics conference, in San Diego, California from Jan 14-18. Integromics will be hosting a workshop at the event to provide a demonstration of SeqSolve 2.1 as well as a presentation on NGS technologies.

The NGS workshop will be held on Monday 16 January, 2012, at 6:00 pm. Integromics is hosting booth number 523.
