Company to showcase premier image management, reporting, and advanced visualization solutions
STAMFORD, Conn., March 11, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- (Booth #1301) – FUJIFILM Medical Systems U.S.A., Inc., a leading provider of Enterprise Imaging and Medical Informatics solutions, will present its comprehensive Synapse® Enterprise Imaging solutions designed specifically for cardiologists at the American College of Cardiology’s (ACC) 68th Annual Scientific Session and Expo in New Orleans, LA, from March 16-18, 2019. In booth #1301, Fujifilm will exhibit Synapse Cardiology PACS and Synapse 3D—two robust workflow tools that offer a host of features designed to meet the demands of busy practices with the most advanced cardiac imaging and reporting needs.
“ACC is the global marketplace for cardiovascular innovation. We’re eager to share with our colleagues, partners, and current and prospective customers, how we’re supporting cardiologists by integrating REiLI, Fujifilm’s artificial intelligence platform, into our Synapse Cardiology PACS,” said Bill Lacy, Vice President, Medical Informatics at FUJIFILM Medical Systems U.S.A., Inc. “At ACC19, we’ll be demonstrating some of the newer capabilities of our secure server-side rendering technology for cardiology, as well as the recently launched version of Synapse 3D, which we successfully debuted last month at HIMSS.”
At this year’s meeting, the ACC is kicking off its 2019-2023 Strategic Plan, which positions the College and its members for success in achieving the ACC’s mission to transform cardiovascular care and improve heart health. As cardiovascular disease remains the number one cause of mortality worldwide, ACC’s mission is to create a world where innovation and knowledge optimize cardiovascular care and outcomes, a vision Fujifilm actively supports.
Fujifilm has been innovating patient care for more than 80 years with a comprehensive, integrated, and expanding portfolio of healthcare IT imaging technologies. The company continues to collaborate with clinicians and researchers to address healthcare’s most pressing issues, accelerate innovation, and deliver meaningful solutions that help providers improve patient outcomes and change lives.
ACC attendees are invited to explore the following solutions showcased in booth #1301:
Synapse Cardiology PACS is Fujifilm’s next generation, secure server-side rendering technology that will enable instant access of massive cardiology datasets. Synapse Cardiology PACS works within the most popular browsers while using less bandwidth throughout the enterprise. Developed with ongoing direction from cardiologists, Synapse Cardiology PACS offers capabilities and tools that help streamline image review and reporting across all cardiovascular modalities including: Adult Echocardiography, Pediatric/Fetal Echocardiography, ECG Management (Stress, Resting, Holter), Non-Invasive Vascular, Nuclear Cardiology, Cardiac Catheterization, Invasive Peripheral Vascular (IPV), Electrophysiology (EP), Cardiac CT and Cardiac MR.
The expansion of this server-side technology into Synapse Cardiology PACS will enable the application of REiLI, and allow Fujifilm to integrate artificial intelligence into its cardiology offering.
Synapse 3D is designed for use across multiple specialties including cardiology, radiology, and surgery, among others. Synapse 3D is an enterprise-wide solution for performing advanced visualization workflows and accessing 3D rendered images. Full integration with Synapse Cardiology PACS and Synapse Radiology PACS offers one-click access for any Synapse client. Synapse 3D offers more than 50 clinical functions to choose from, including 12 cardiac-specific applications, with functions utilizing Fujifilm’s Image Intelligence™ recognition technology. 3D imaging improves visualization for complex cardiac interventions and procedure planning including transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR). It also serves as a resource to review Cardiac CT and Cardiac MR Images. In addition, Synapse 3D provides tool sets to assess coronary angiography, cardiac function, calcium scoring and to assist in electrophysiology planning.
Leading up to the ACC 2019, Fujifilm will also participate in the ACC Quality Summit, which is the National Cardiology Data Registry® (NCDR) and Accreditation’s Annual Session and Expo from March 13-15, 2019 at the Hyatt Regency in New Orleans, LA.
The ACC Quality Summit provides attendees with NCDR registry-specific and hospital industry knowledge, and affords a deeper understanding of the value of accreditation and ways patient data can drive process improvement initiatives. Attendees will take away best practices through networking, workshops and posters, and discover tools and techniques to improve healthcare quality within their organizations.
Fujifilm’s cardiology offering is strengthened through FUJIFILM SonoSite, Inc.'s portfolio of point-of-care ultrasound systems (POCUS). Cardiac imaging at the point-of-care allows clinicians to assess patient conditions and put treatment plans in place. With an intuitive user interface, Fujifilm’s POCUS systems provide accurate hemodynamic profiling that enables physicians to assess cardiac function and effectively direct patient care for better outcomes.
