Marstiller, J. William Hix, James L. Herman and Amy Dix Rock bring more than 70 years of pharmaceutical management experience to their new positions.

Jean W. Marstiller, who joined Cumberland Pharmaceuticals in 1999 as Vice President of Administrative Services, has been promoted to Senior Vice President and Corporate Secretary. In this position, she oversees administrative operations, human resources, site services and information systems. Ms. Marstiller has 17 years of biopharmaceutical industry experience and formerly served as Director of Administrative Operations at Therapeutic Antibodies Inc. She holds an engineering degree from Vanderbilt University and attended the Vanderbilt Owen Graduate School of Management.
As Vice President of Sales and Marketing, J. William Hix oversees the company’s sales efforts, marketing campaigns and promotional programs. Since joining Cumberland as Director of Hospital Sales in 2004, he has managed the national hospital sales force, promoted the company’s acute care product line, and was instrumental in the design and implementation of a gastroenterology product field sales force. Mr. Hix brings significant industry experience to the company, having spent 30 years at Novartis/CIBA-GEIGY Pharmaceutical Corporation. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Memphis and an MBA from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio.
As Senior Director of National Accounts and Corporate Compliance Officer, James L. Herman is responsible for all national accounts sales, including wholesalers, retail chains, managed care groups and federal government accounts. He also manages the company’s compliance program. Mr. Herman joined the company as Director of National Account Sales in 2003. Prior to that, he worked at Solvay Pharmaceuticals and Schwarz Pharma. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University and an MBA from Cardinal Stritch University.
Amy Dix Rock, Ph.D. has been promoted to Senior Manager of Regulatory Affairs. Joining the Company in 2001, she previously served as Senior Scientist. Dr. Rock manages all interactions between Cumberland Pharmaceuticals and the Food and Drug Administration, oversees the preparation of regulatory submissions, and manages ongoing clinical trials. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Washington University, a Ph.D. in immunology from the University of Kentucky, and an MBA from the Vanderbilt Owen Graduate School of Management.
