ROCHESTER, N.Y., June 30 — William A. Sanger recently joined the Board of Directors of Carestream Health, Inc., an international healthcare imaging and IT company with more than 7,200 employees worldwide.
Mr. Sanger is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Emergency Medical Services Corporation, a leading provider of emergency medical services in the U.S. The company operates two growing business segments: American Medical Response, Inc. (AMR), the company’s healthcare transportation services segment; and EmCare Holdings, Inc. (EmCare), a facility-based physician services segment. AMR is the top provider of ambulance services in the United States, while EmCare is the leading provider of emergency department and facility-based physician services.

Prior to his current position as CEO, Mr. Sanger was appointed President of EmCare in 2001. He is also a co-founder of BIDON Companies where he has been a Managing Partner since 1999.
Mr. Sanger previously served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Cancer Treatment Centers of America, Inc. Prior to that role, he was co-founder and Executive Vice President of PhyMatrix Corp., then a publicly-traded diversified health services company. In addition, Mr. Sanger was President and CEO of various other healthcare entities, including JFK Health Care System.
Mr. Sanger has an M.B.A. in Finance from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and is the recipient of numerous healthcare and entrepreneurial awards. He has been a recognized leader in the healthcare profession for more than three decades.
With the addition of Bill Sanger, Carestream Health’s Board of Directors now has nine members. Baumgartner, Executive Chairman, Center for Diagnostic Imaging, Inc., a national network of freestanding medical imaging centers; Joseph F. Haft, Chairman, MainStreet Lender, a direct national commercial lender; Kevin J. Hobert, Carestream Health’s CEO; James T. Kelly, a private investor, who previously served as President and CEO of Lincare Holdings Inc., a provider of in-home respiratory care, infusion therapy and medical equipment; Eliot L. Siegel, M.D., Professor and Vice Chair, University of Maryland School of Medicine, Department of Diagnostic Radiology, and Chief of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine for the Veterans Affairs Maryland Healthcare System; and Michael L.
