WARRENDALE, Pa., Aug. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- At this month’s Amerinet Central Member Conference, Fairfield Medical Center, Stratum Med Inc. and Gordon Food Service received honors for their work with the group purchasing organization.
Amerinet Central introduced three Awards of Excellence recognizing an acute care facility, a non-acute care facility and a supplier. Member winners were determined based on contract utilization, participation in education programs and data services and involvement in membership activities.
Criteria for the supplier award included: timely, accurate sales reporting; active participation and sponsorship of member meetings; leadership in engaging field staff, proactive marketing activities and customer support; and participation in business reviews.
The winners are: Acute Care Facility - Fairfield Medical Center
Located in Lancaster, Ohio and established in 1916, Fairfield Medical Center is a 222-bed general acute care facility serving the health care needs of southeastern and central Ohio. With more than 1,940 employees, 600 volunteers and 250 physicians, Fairfield has established affiliates and off-campus locations for greater access to enhanced services. Randy Brown, director of pharmacy, accepted the award on Fairfield’s behalf.
Non-Acute Facility - Stratum Med Inc.
Stratum Med Inc., incorporated in 1996, is a physician owned and governed services company with approximately 2,000 associated physicians and shareholders, located in Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, Ohio and Wisconsin. Stratum Med entered into a strategic partnership with Amerinet to provide group purchasing services to their group practices and PHOs. Brian Medendorp, executive director of group purchasing, accepted the award on Stratum Med’s behalf.
Supplier - Gordon Food Service
Gordon Food Service (GFS) is the largest, privately held foodservice distributor in North America. Headquartered in Grand Rapids, Mich., GFS has operations in Ontario, Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. Matt Schichtel, national healthcare chain account executive, accepted the award on behalf of GFS.
