ST. LOUIS, Oct. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Advantage Healthcare Net, Intermountain Health Care (IHC) and Amerinet, a leading group-purchasing organization, announce that they have extended their affiliation agreement through May 1, 2010. Advantage delivers Amerinet’s network of solutions to health care providers in North Dakota, South Dakota, eastern Montana and most of Minnesota.
As a key strategic partner, Advantage reported more than $410 million in Amerinet contract sales in 2003 and 2004. They team together regionally with the staff at Intermountain Health Care, one of the three companies that own Amerinet.
Wade Johnson, vice president and chief operating officer, Advantage Healthcare Net, cites IHC’s and Amerinet’s personnel, philosophy and regional flexibility as the main reasons for extending the agreement.
“The staff at both Intermountain Health Care and Amerinet -- from CEO Bud Bowen through the entire organization -- truly understands the importance of a healthy operating margin for every health care provider,” said Johnson. “They are responsive to our members’ needs and input, to the point that they will work with us to provide regional options when national solutions don’t fit.”
“It would be hard to imagine a finer working relationship,” he said.
According to Bruce Hanks, vice president, IHC/Amerinet, the partnership allows a greater number of health care providers to create new revenue streams and reduce expenses with Amerinet’s tools.
“Through the affiliation, health care providers in North Dakota, South Dakota, eastern Montana and Minnesota have the opportunity to improve their financial and operational performance with our group purchasing, supply chain management, clinical consulting, information and education services,” Hanks said.
