Bristol-Myers Squibb Names Sandra Leung Senior Vice President And General Counsel

NEW YORK, Feb. 15 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Bristol-Myers Squibb Company today announced that it has appointed Sandra Leung as Senior Vice President and General Counsel. Leung will manage the Bristol-Myers Squibb legal department and act as the primary legal advisor to the Board of Directors. She will continue to be a member of the Executive Committee and Management Council, reporting to Chief Executive Officer James Cornelius.

Leung joined Bristol-Myers Squibb in 1992 as a Staff Attorney in the Litigation Group. In 1999, she was promoted to Corporate Secretary, responsible for relations with the Board, stockholders and other key groups. Her role was later expanded to include Chief Ethics Officer, and in September 2006 she became Interim General Counsel. Prior to joining the company, Leung was an Assistant District Attorney for the New York County District Attorney's office.
