Perreault Will Move Up to CEO of CSL Behring

Paul Perreault, president of CSL Behring in King of Prussia, Pa., will take over as CEO of CSL Ltd., CSL Behring’s parent company, in July 2013.

He will succeed Dr. Brian McNamee who will step down as chief executive after 23 years in charge of the Australian company.

McNamee had announced in 2009 his plan to leave the post “in three to four years.”

Perreault joined the company in 2004 as part of CSL’s acquisition of Aventis Behring. In his current role, he is responsible for the CSL Group’s international manufacturing and commercial operations across 26 countries.

CSL Behring is a leading developer and makers of plasma protein biotherapeutic products with sales of more than $3.3 billion.

The company was named “life sciences company of the year” for 2011 in the Philadelphia Business Journal’s Life Sciences awards program.
