RALEIGH, N.C. – PRA Health Sciences is expanding its presence in Pennsylvania and looking to hire 150 additional employees for its new Blue Bell site, the company announced this morning.

PRA Health Sciences, a contract research organization, has more than 1,000 employees at its new 148,000 square foot Blue Bell site, which includes employees relocated from the company’s Horsham and Fort Washington facilities. PRA spent more than $4 million on the expansion of its Blue Bell

The project is expected to create at least 250 new full-time jobs by the end of 2016, and will retain 1,150 existing employees. Based on the project’s significant economic impact, the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) provided PRA with a $750,000 Pennsylvania First Program (PFP) grant. Dennis Davin, DCED secretary, said the life sciences industry is a driving economic sector in Pennsylvania and they were pleased PRA has “shown a commitment to remain a part of this growth.”

PRA said it is hiring across all major divisions, including clinical operations areas and corporate functions. Information about career opportunities can be found at www.DiscoverYourPRA.com.

“We are delighted to be in this beautiful new space and we look forward to welcoming more talented individuals to join our team,” Harris Koffer, president of the strategic solutions group at PRA, said in a statement.

In June, PRA was recognized as the “PharmaTimes” Best Clinical Company of the Year. That award follows PRA's recognition as the Best International Clinical Company of the Year which was announced earlier in 2015 in London.

In July Raleigh, N.C. – based PRA launched the new candidate portal to help attract new employees from around the world. The “candidate experience initiative” includes the new website which features profiles and videos of a small cross section of current PRA employees. The profiles included on the site are designed to give candidates a unique glimpse into clinical development work and why employees find it meaningful, PRA said.

"PRA's new Candidate Experience initiative is designed to attract the highest caliber talent and give potential employees a comprehensive view of our culture and the many rewards of working in an industry that helps bring life-saving drugs to market,” Glen Sward, PRA’s vice president of talent acquisition, said in a statement.

The Blue Bell site includes “state-of-the-art shared tenant conference space, staff workplace benefits and a fitness center,” the company said. The site can accommodate approximately 860 PRA employees.

PRA Health Sciences (PRA) (NASDAQ: PRAH) a leading global contract research organization, is expanding its presence in Pennsylvania. Employees recently relocated to PRA’s new modern Class A+ office space in Blue Bell, now the company’s largest office worldwide. PRA currently has more than one thousand employees in Pennsylvania and is looking to add additional staff.
