Despite being one of the fastest growing nations in the world, India has its own set of challenges. The country lacks adequate basic amenities, one of them being toilets. Unsurprisingly, it leads the world in open defecation. The census data shows that at least 636 million Indian households lack toilets, a crisis which often contributes to urinary tract infection (UTI) and renal ailments especially among women.
