Much has been written in recent weeks about the role technology is, or is not playing, in the so-called ADHD epidemic in America. Articles are proclaiming that our tendency to be distracted by our iPhone screens and toggle between videos and images on social media sites like a dog chasing a squirrel is a sign of “adult onset ADHD.” They are also saying technology is the cause in children, and point to a spike in ADHD diagnosis rates as a result.
