An Ohio-based company that serves the pharmaceutical industry is expanding its scope of operation by opening a biorefinery center in Nevada with the help of $500,000 in direct aid from the Iowa Economic Development Authority. In exchange for the financial assistance, Thesis Chemistry, of Mentor, Ohio, announced Monday it would develop “a biorefinery, corporate headquarters and chemical research and development lab” in the Nevada West Industrial Park. The project will generate an estimated 130 jobs, according to information reviewed by the authority board on Friday.
