Softheon to present with Wakely Consulting and Day Health Strategies at the 2018 State Healthcare IT Connect Summit

Softheon, Inc. announced that its Founder & CEO, Eugene Sayan, will moderate a panel at the 2018 State Healthcare IT Connect (HITC) Summit.

STONY BROOK, N.Y., March 22, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Softheon, Inc., a proven leader in cloud-based health insurance exchange integration and remediation, today announced that its Founder & CEO, Eugene Sayan, will moderate a panel at the 2018 State Healthcare IT Connect (HITC) Summit.

The event, taking place April 5-6, 2018, in Baltimore, MD is the 9th Annual State Healthcare IT Connect Summit, bringing together public and private sector thought leaders to share ideas and benchmark implementation strategies of State health IT systems as they move forward with diverse health and human services transformation programs. The event comprises keynotes, keynote panels, collaborative networking roundtables, the Connect Exhibition, and breakout sessions.

Softheon will have a key presence at this year’s summit, hosting a panel of industry experts on Thursday, April 5th at 2:45PM. The panel, titled “State innovation and design implementation: addressing ACA Marketplace sustainability, reform, and positioning,” will share insights on how to get a better understanding of state readiness to increase scalability, security, and performance.

During the panel, Rosemarie Day, Founder of Day Health Strategies, and Jon Kingsdale, Ph.D, Managing Director at Wakely Consulting, will discuss why states must reform and modernize technology and operational platforms, and will also examine state usage of 1115 waivers, 1332 waivers, and ‘super waivers’ to support state flexibility and increase both coverage affordability and accessibility.

“With newer technologies come newer challenges and the need innovation, and that is why we as an industry must stay at the forefront of technology and security,” said Sayan. “The HITC Summit allows some of healthcare’s most innovative thinkers to discuss, collaborate, and brainstorm answers to some of the industry’s most important questions and issues.”

Softheon is well-suited to share its thoughts and relevant expertise on the state of healthcare IT. Nearly every state is looking to procure software, components, and services to replace aging legacy MMIS. State Medicaid CIOs must make the state MITA 3.0 self-assessment process an earnest, ground-up review of operational effectiveness, to improve beneficiary service delivery and operational efficiency. Softheon’s Medicaid Enterprise System Cloud (MESC) provides modular component/services blend approach, allowing states to focus on best of breed functionality - versus best of suite - to meet the “to be” business objectives defined in MITA 3.0, while meeting beneficiary needs in an era of changing demographics, growing caseloads, and expanding technology options.
