ST. LOUIS, May 4 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Sigma-Aldrich , a leader in Life Sciences and Proteomics, is pleased to launch the Panorama(TM) p53 Pathways Antibody Array, designed for studying the expression patterns of proteins known to be involved in p53 pathways. The array enables the analysis of cell or protein extracts and contains 112 antibodies spotted in duplicate onto a nitrocellulose slide along with Cy(TM)3 and Cy5 positive controls and a negative control.
The recognition of p53 as a pivotal regulatory protein involved in a variety of signaling pathways is crucial to understanding the development and progression of cancer. Sigma-Aldrich’s new array will enable researchers to study the complex nature of p53 pathways in an efficient manner and allow the identification of protein expression patterns that may be related to cancer.
“Given the tremendous amount of information regarding all aspects of normal p53 function and mutant expression in cancers, we are pleased to offer the first targeted p53 Pathways Antibody Array,” said Alicia Pruett, Product Manager, Array Technology. “We are committed to providing cutting-edge proteomics tools to the research community and will continue to develop and market innovative products such as the p53 Pathways Array in order to accelerate scientific research.”
The Panorama p53 Pathways Antibody Array extends Sigma-Aldrich’s market- leading array portfolio for proteomic research. Information on our array technology, including functional protein and tissue extract microarrays, can be viewed at http://sigma-aldrich.com/arrays .
