Two Chinese herbal supplements are being recalled because they contain a carcinogen linked to kidney disease.Kingsway Trading Company of Brooklyn, New York, is recalling its dietary pills Double Deers Formula brand Expellin Extract and Cardioflex.The company says it stopped distributing the products after being notified by the Food and Drug Administration of the problem.The supplements contain a carcinogen and toxin found in plants that has been associated with some cases of kidney failure and an increased risk of kidney cancer.Expellin extract has been marketed to relieve headaches and sinus congestion. Cardioflex is supposed to maintain cardiovascular and circulatory health.
